We're here to win, says Basel coach Fink

ROME — Swiss side Basel can record their first Champions League win of the campaign on Tuesday against Italian outfit AS Roma, Basel coach Thorsten Fink said on Monday.
Fink, whose side lost their first two matches, said there was no reason why Basel could not defeat Roma, who got a much-needed win at the weekend to move out of the relegation places in Serie A.
"Our target, is the three points," said Fink, who won a Champions League winners medal with Bayern Munich in 2001.
"If we don't get them then we will not be going much further in the Champions League.
"At the very least we want to do enough to be in the Europa League by finishing third in the group."
Fink, who was also a member of the Bayern side that lost sensationally to Manchester United in the 1999 Champions League final, said that he could be confident based on last year's experience.
"Roma is a very good team," said Fink.
"But we beat them last year (2-0 at home in the Europa League group match, though Roma won 2-1 away), and both sides haven't changed very much.
"So yes we are here to win. We know our strengths, and we know what our chances are."
Roma also need a win as they are presently third, three points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich.
